When driving on this roundabout in Portugal this summer, we were suddenly facing this old lady walking in the middle of it (between quite-fast-driving cars!). When asking if we could help her with something, she responded that this was just the best short cut to the supermarket en slowly kept on walking, her stick in one hand and her shopping bag in the other. :-)
