Last weekend I was in Haute-Saône, France, where I went to this o-so-cool church by Le Corbusier, Chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Haut in Ronchamp (1954). I looove concrete and since the church is just concrete, concrete, concrete, you probably can imagine my excitement visiting it. It is said to be one of the finest examples of the architecture of Le Corbusier and one of the most important examples of twentieth-century religious architecture.
