So yesterday I went to the Kunsthal, Rotterdam, to see the Jean Paul Gaultier and Pastoe exhibitions currently held there. About Pastoe: since I’m a fan of their furniture designs and live opposite the Pastoe factory in Utrecht, there was no way I could miss out on this exhibition. Pastoe was founded in 1913 and as stated on its website, simplicity, timelessness, quality and craftsmanship have been at the centre of the company’s philosophy ever since. When I entered the floor where Pastoe was exhibited, a sudden feeling of happiness came over me. Such pretty pieces of furniture and an at least as beautiful way of exhibiting them! Anyhow, although not very big, Like Pastoe, 100 jaar vernieuwing in vormgeving is definitely worth a visit!
